To have that sense of one’s intrinsic worth which constitutes self-respect is potentially to have everything.
What an incredible gift it is to know how special and amazing you are. To feel truly good about who you are is to experience self and life to the fullest.
For many, this may not happen naturally because of childhood and / or adult experiences.
The good news is that:
- A good sense of self can be developed.
- Commonly, people enter psychotherapy to develop improved self worth and work through issues that may have stood in the way of this.
- When people feel good about themselves better choices are made regarding relationships and careers and anything and everything is possible.
